Explore the historic side of town and visit the grounds of the third largest Minoan Palace of Malia, Knossos. The palace covered an area of 7,500 square meters and it is said that the third son of Zeus, ruled here. While visiting the Palace, you can also enjoy the small museum on-site offering some interesting finds and photographs as well as a scale model of what the palace looked like in 1900 BC.
